Facilities of our Surf Camp on Razo Beach

Discover our unique facilities at the ArtSurfcamp surf school camp for minors and adults. We make our hostel available to students at the foot of the paradisiacal Razo beach, just 100 meters from the waves, in the A Coruña municipality of Carballo, on the Costa da Morte in Galicia.

The surf-lodge has capacity for 61 people divided into three floors, and has shared rooms for 6, 8 and 10 people with a shower and bathroom area in each room as well as 2 terraces where you can share unique moments with your companions.

The rooms are large and spacious, all of them with windows. In addition, they have individual lockable cabinets to store your belongings and valuables safely.

The facilities comply with all current regulations and have all the necessary licenses. We have a front and rear terrace where we carry out complementary classes such as video projections, wave formation and workshops that will help you increase your knowledge about surfing and meteorology. In this room you can also challenge your colleagues in a table tennis championship.

The surf school located on the beach is where we keep all the surfboards and where we change before and after each surfing session. We also have our own kitchen. From our facilities you can see the sea and share with your classmates the impressive sunsets that Razo beach offers and comment on how the surf classes went. In addition, you can also enjoy everything from an energetic breakfast to a delicious lunch or dinner after an intense day of surfing.

Location of the teen surfcamp

In our surf camps for teenagers, 7 km of beach full of good breaks for surfing await you. It is one of the largest and with the highest quality on the entire Atlantic coast of Europe, both for its waters and for the services it offers. The lifeguard service is operational all day and we coordinate with them, as well as with the Carballo City Council, so that there is good coexistence on the beach and that our safety is fully covered.

The surf camp for minors is 100 meters from the waves! Razo is a charming little coastal town of 400 inhabitants, a very peaceful place where you can breathe surf 365 days a year. It is the most important beach in the municipality of Carballo, a town that is only 9 km away and has just over 31,000 inhabitants, it has a health center and all the services of a small city. A Coruña is just 20 minutes from our facilities.

Surf courses in Galicia for all levels

The surf classes are taught by instructors certified by the Galician Surf Federation or the Spanish Surf Federation. They are professional surfers who are passionate about what they do and who also stand out for their teaching skills.

3 different levels form the structure in our surf school (initiation, intermediate and advanced). Depending on your ability we have a surf camp for children specially designed for your level. For quality sessions, surf groups have a ratio of 6 minors/instructor. In the morning, we do a 2-hour class. In the afternoon, in supervised surfing we choose the best wave and tidal conditions to make the most of Razo's waves. In all the sessions of the surf camps for children, the supervised surfing part is directed and supervised by our team of technicians so that the children feel safe, in connection with our team and thus enjoy their experience in our facilities to the fullest.

The priority is to enjoy Razo's waves to the fullest, but on occasions when the wave, wind and tide conditions are not suitable for surfing, we will carry out some of the activities that make up the surf camp sliding program for minors: of course surfing, surf skate in our woodwave, mini ramp, slack-line, educational and safety workshops, training adapted to surfing and beach games.

Do I need to know something about surfing to come to the surfcamps for boys and girls? No, just know how to swim. We are a school/camp that teaches surf courses for all levels: from beginner to advanced. You just have to bring a suitcase full of fun and the desire to improve. We provide the rest.

Much more than Surfing: Summer Camp Activities

So that you get the most out of your stay, we have designed a super program of parallel activities. Our teaching methodology analyzes all aspects of surfing but Artsurfcamp is much more than a surf camp, so we help our students to better understand the meteorological reports in wave training courses, to improve technique through video-correction sessions, to increase physical performance with stretching sessions and with our functional training sessions we guide them so that they can train safely and autonomously. Finally, if your idea is to continue surfing, we will put all our knowledge at your disposal so that you can choose the most appropriate material for your needs.

The camp activities go further;Skateboarding, environmental workshops, hiking, tarp surfing, beach volleyball championships, longskate slalom, surf skate, night parties and much more are part of the weekly programming in our surf camps for children and underage youth. Guaranteed fun every day!

Healthy Eating: Local Galician Diet Menu

We offer you a varied diet with a menu specifically designed by a dietitian and prepared, in our kitchen, by our professional team of cooks. Abundant, rich, varied and with a lot of fruit. Good fish, meats, vegetables and pasta are not lacking in the Galician diet. We start the day with a varied and energetic breakfast. Lunches and dinners consist of 2 dishes, water, bread, dessert and you will always have fresh fruit.

Location in Carballo: How to get to our Camp

You can arrive by your own means or, if you prefer, we will pick you up at the airport or the bus and/or train stations in A Coruña or Santiago de Compostela. Our team of professionals will be waiting for the children and adolescents upon their arrival in A Coruña or Santiago de Compostela with an ARTSURFCAMP sign, once picked up we will take them to the camp.

A very important day is the arrival day, so we recommend that minors arrive in the morning so they have time to get to know the facilities, meet new friends and also to be able to participate in the presentation of the surf camp for children, which will be at 4:00 p.m.

Professionalism

As parents, what worries us most is the safety of our children. For this reason, in our summer surf camps we have within our organizational chart a team of qualified professionals made up of the director and free time instructors who ensure the safety of the little ones at all times. Their work is carried out 24 hours a day, during the stay they will be attentive to help the young campers with everything they need, they will ensure that there is harmony, fun and that the internal rules of our surf camp for minors are respected. The entire team sleeps in the hostel. For greater security, inside we have a circuit of video surveillance cameras. Safety and fun always hand in hand at Artsurfcamp.

Experiences

At Art Surf Camp, each experience is different, but they all share something in common: the connection with the ocean, with oneself and with others. Here the waves become learning, the laughter becomes memories, and each day ends with the feeling of having experienced something real.
